The voice of Prophethood

John 1:15.

John testifies of him and cries out, saying,

"This is the One I am referring to when I say: Then from me shall come the one who hath before me, for He was before me."

John testifies of him and cries out, saying,

This is the work of the prophet who continues to testify that Jesus is God;

John does not testify of himself.

The prophetic voice is not egocentric but Christocentric.

Because it is STOP subjective testimony that tends to steal the glory of God, which we often do even in the house of God, this is one of the desires of the flesh that must be turned off.

All praise of honor and glory is for God alone and not for us.

The prophetic voice is also different from the false prophet who denies the divinity of Christ. For it is not to claim to be the end-time prophet if the Gospel is not centered on Christ.

STOP Hoax & preach the true gospel.

"This is the One I am referring to when I say: Then from me will come the One who has gone before me,

John repeatedly said by not referring to himself but his focus on Jesus by saying "This is He".

It means that Jesus is the center of his judgment, because that is a testimony of quality and not centered on the human person.

This should be a measure of the ministry of every Servant of God in this modern era, so we do not steal the glory of God above the pulpit of the church.

Although not in a sophisticated pulpit church, and only in the desert,

But John's testimony is pleasing to GOD, because his lifetime, repeatedly the center of preaching is Christ (CRISTOSENTRIC).

John repeats the purpose of the Word of God delivered at the time of his baptism

Matthew 3:11.

That means the gospel of Jesus must be kept repeating over and over again, because the more repeated the more beautiful and sweet to hear.

Do not be ashamed to testify of Christ, and a thousand times we hear the pure Gospel of Jesus Christ, a thousand times we must accept it.

"Because He existed before me."

John confesses that Jesus is greater than himself.

John realized that he was only a prophet;

In contrast to the general theology at that time who considered Jesus = John.

John realized that he was not the light, he was just a voice crying in the wilderness, preparing the way for Jesus.

John acknowledges that Jesus is God.

This is an honest and sincere witness, It is not the view of John theology but the righteousness of God that is inspired by the Holy Spirit to John.

Yohanes 1:15.
Yohanes memberi kesaksian tentang Dia dan berseru, katanya:
"Inilah Dia, yang kumaksudkan ketika aku berkata: Kemudian dari padaku akan datang Dia yg telah mendahului aku, sebab Dia telah ada sebelum aku".

Yohanes memberi kesaksian tentang Dia dan berseru, katanya:

Inilah tugas nabi yang terus bersaksi bahwa Yesus adalah Tuhan;
Yohanes tidak bersaksi tentang dirinya sendiri.

Suara kenabian tidak bersifat egosentris tetapi Kristosentris.

Karna itu STOP kesaksian yang bersifat subjektif yang cenderung mencuri kemulian Tuhan, yang sering kali kita lakukan bahkan di rumah Tuhan, ini  adalah salah satu keinginan daging yang harus dimatikan.
Segala pujian hormat dan kemulian hanya untuk Tuhan saja dan bukan untuk diri kita.

Suara kenabian juga  beda dengan nabi palsu yang menyangkal ketuhanan KRISTUS. Karna itu jangan mengklaim diri sebagai nabi akhir zaman jika Injil yang disampaikan bukan berpusat pada Kristus.

STOP Hoax & beritakanlah Injil yang benar.

"Inilah Dia, yang kumaksudkan ketika aku berkata: Kemudian dari pada ku akan datang Dia yang telah mendahului aku,

Yohanes berulang kali berkata dengan  tidak menunjuk pada diri sendiri tetapi fokusnya kepada Yesus dengan berkata "Inilah Dia".

Artinya bahwa Yesus adalah pusat pembritaannya, karna itu lah kesaksian yang bermutu dan tidak perusat pada pribadi manusia.

Hal ini harus menjadi ukuran pelayanan setiap Hamba Tuhan di era  modern ini, sehingga kita tidak mencuri kemulian Tuhan di atas mimbar  gereja.

Meskipun bukan di mimbar gereja yang canggih, dan hanya di Padang gurun,
Namun kesaksian Yohanes  berkenan kepada ALLAH,  karna seumur hidupnya, secara berulang-ulang pusat pemberitaannya adalah KRISTUS (KRISTOSENTRIS).

Yohanes mengulang kembli maksud Firman Tuhan yang disampaikan di saat Yesus dibaptis
Matius 3:11.

Itu berarti Injil Yesus harus terus diberitakan berulang-ulang, karna semakin diulang semakin indah dan manis didengar.

Jangan malu bersaksi tentang KRISTUS, dan seribu kali kita mendengar Injil yang murni tentang Yesus Kristus, seribu kali juga kita harus menerimanya.

"Sebab Dia telah ada sebelum aku."

Yohanes mengaku bahwa Yesus lebih besar dari dirinya.
Yohanes sadar bahwa dia hanya seorang nabi;
Berbeda dengan teologia umum pada waktu itu yang menganggap Yesus = Yohanes.

Yohanes sadar bahwa dia bukan terang itu, dia hanya suara yang berseru-seru di padang gurun, persiapkan jalan untuk Yesus.
Yohanes mengakui bahwa Yesus adalah Tuhan.
Ini lah kesaksian jujur dan tulus, Ini bukan pandangam  teologi Yohanes tetapi kebenaran Allah yang diilhamkan oleh Roh Kudus kepada Yohanes.
